Washington, DC – As skilled nursing facilities continue to grapple with rounds of reductions to Medicare and Medicaid, the profession is encouraged to see recent Congressional action that devotes funding to resources to help care for America’s seniors and individuals with disabilities, instead of being withheld by the government. Today, Congress approved the repeal of the three percent withholding tax mandate to allow businesses, including skilled nursing facilities, to utilize all payments on products and services made by government units.
